Over and over again!
It takes 10,000 hours to master a skill.
Desiring quick results is a need to live the present. The world we live today shaped us to get everything fast: fast food, fast deliveries, fast speed!
There's many skills we can obtain, like be better at dancing, play an instrument, practicing a sport, learning a new language. For each skill we swim deep into, our body readjust both physically, mentally and emotionally. For example, the more languages we learn the more muscle-mind connection we have with our tongue, therefore a tongue of an individual that has learned five languages develops differently than an individual that only knows one. Moreover, it will also be easier for the individual to learn a sixth one while the individual that only knows one will struggle with the second one.
Another example is an individual that wants to master the skill of playing piano or guitar. In this case, the physical development will be the muscle-mind connection with the fingers to a better awareness through movement. We can also say it will change the individual mentally and emotionally and the individual will be able to create songs when the required level is achieved.
Lastly when you train your muscles, either for movement or strength, either for speed or resistance. An individual that has developed a muscle-mind connection with their back muscles will understand to squeeze the muscle in order to develop it, and that goes for any muscle that belongs to our body. An individual that is developing movement, for example a martial artist, will require many hours learning the basics of the art in other to process to the next level.
The art of life is simply understanding we are learners, receiving lessons, failing and repeating the process.
It takes time for sure, so isn't it important to be patient instead?
Probably the beauty about being patient is to keep practicing the same skill everyday over and over and each year that passes by the understanding about the skill becomes deeper.
Your actions are a reflection of your image.
So what do you spend your time with?
